The holiday season is underway in Scranton. The fun begins in Scranton on Saturday, Dec. 1.
Cocoa With the Clauses is slated at Scranton City Hall at 6 pm. Santa will arrive on a fire truck and then will meet with all the good boys and girls. They will receive a gift and a treat from Mrs Claus.
Before Santa arrives, youngsters are invited to the H.F. and Maude E. Marchant Memorial Library at 5 pm for crafts, fun and games. Youngsters will enjoy the hour-long event prior to meeting St. Nicholas.
The annual Christmas in Scranton Celebration is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 12. Many businesses are planning their holiday open houses with treats, drawings and gifts for their customers and friends. Watch for details. ~courtesy of The Scranton Journal
